Speed, Velocity, Acceleration, Retardation
What is Speed, Velocity, Acceleration, and Retardation in Engineering Mechanics?
Speed
It is the rate of progress of uprooting concerning its encompassing. Since the speed of a body is regardless of its heading, in this manner it is a scalar amount.
Speed ( Velocity)
It is likewise the rate of progress of removal concerning its encompassing, in a specific bearing. Since the speed is constantly communicated in a specific course, thusly it is a vector amount.
Increasing speed ( Acceleration)
It is the rate of progress of speed of a body. It is said to be sure; when the speed of a body increments with time and it is negative when the speed diminishes with time.
The negative speeding up is likewise called Retardation.
